1972 Afrika Uluslar Kupası

1972 Afrika Uluslar Şampiyonası Afrika ulusal takımlarının katıldığı turnuvaların sekizinci kez düzenlenenidir. Kupanın ev sahibliğini 23 Şubat– 5 Mart tarihleri arasında , Kamerun yapmıştır. Turnuvayı Kongo Milli Futbol Takımı kazanmıştır.Turnuvada karşılaşmalar Kamerun'un Yaoundé ve Douala şehirlerinde yapılmıştır. Eleme Turları Sudan son şampiyon olarak turnuvaya eleme oynamadan katılmıştır Kamerun ev sahibi ülke olduğundan turnuvaya eleme oynamadan katılmıştır
