Albertus Magnus (1207-1280) Dominiken tarikatına girmiş ve Aristoteles'i ve Fârâbî, İbn Sînâ, İbn Rüşd ve İbn Tufeyl gibi Müslüman filozofların Aristoteles felsefesine ilişkin yorumlarını öğrenmiştir; daha sonra bu yorumlara dayanarak Hıristiyan inançlarıyla bağdaşabilecek yeni yorumlar getirmiştir.
