Alexander III, İskender (BÜYÜK) ya da MAKEDONYALI İSKENDER olarak da bilinir (d. İÖ 356, Pella, Makedonya - ö. İÖ 13 Haziran 323, Babil), İÖ 336-323 yılları arasında Makedonya kralı ve tarihteki en büyük komutanlardan biri. Pers İmparatorluğu'nu yıkarak Yunanistan'dan Hindistan'a kadar uzanan büyük bir imparatorluk kurmuş, Eski Yunan uygarlığının Doğu'ya yayılmasında etkili olmuş ve efsanevi bir kahramana dönüşmüştür.
