Arius Hıristiyanlıkta bir mezhep kurucusu. Miladın 270. yılında doğdu, 336 yılında öldürüldü. Teslise (Trinite) inanmadığı için, 312’de öldürülen Antakya piskoposu Lucian’ın talebesi olan Aryüs Libyalıdır. Hakiki Hıristiyanlıktan ayrılan kiliseye karşı gelmesi ile meşhurdur.
