`````Ben-Hur`````, Judah Ben-Hur`un kurgusal hikayesidir. Hikayeye göre bu kişi Yahudi bir aristokratken, İmparator Tiberius döneminde, Romalı arkadaşı Messala`nın ihaneti ile köleleştirilmiştir. Bu andan sonra hayatı büyük bir maceranın içinde kaybolur, maceranın az gözüken ama Ben-Hur`u en derinden etkileyen figürü ise İsa`dır. Ben-Hur İsa`nın çarmıha gerilişine de şahit olur.
