Etna Sicilya Adasında Avrupa’nın en yüksek, dünyanın ise büyük volkanlarından biri. Faal bir volkandır. Catania’nın 29 km kuzeyindedir. Eski Yunanca ismi Aitne, Roma dilinde Aetna idi. Sicilyalılar bugün Mongibello demektedirler. Deniz seviyesinden 3308 m yüksektedir. Volkanın bir iç, bir de dış konisi vardır. İç konisinin içinde ana krater bulunur. Dış koninin ise uç kısmı patlamalardan mütevellit kısalmıştır. İç koninin yüksekliği 3260 m olup, boyu gittikçe azalmaktadır. 1190 kilometrek
