Ferdinand Magellan, Portekizce Fernão de Magalhães. (* 1480, Sabrosa - Portekiz, † 27 Nisan 1521, Filipinler). Portekizli denizci ve kâşif. İspanya Krallığı'nın desteğiyle denizlere açılan Magellan, dünyanın çevresini dolaşan ilk denizcidir. Hikâyesi, bu seyahate eşlik eden Antonio Pigafetta'nın anılarını yazması sayesinde günümüze ulaşmıştır.
