Foton, Estrak firması tarafından Türkiye'de traktörlerinin ve Otokar tarafından orta sınıf Atlas kamyonlarının lisansla üretimi yapılan Çin'in en büyük otomotiv üreticilerindendir.28 Ağustos 1996 tarihinde kurulmuştur ve şu an Pekin otomotiv Grubuna bağlıdır.
