The Secret Doctrine, “The Secret Doctrine, the Synthesis of Science, Religion and Philosophy” isimli kitap 1888`de Helena P. Blavatsky tarafından yazılan ve iki cilt olarak yayımlanmıştır. Kitabın birinci cildi "Kozmik Başlangıç" olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Ve ikinci cildi de "Antropolojik Başlangıç"`tır. Ezoterik ve gizemli fikirlerin yeniden canlanması için ilgi uyandırmıştı. Dikkate değer kısmı eski doğu bilgeliğini ve modern bilimi bir araya getirme amacıdır.

Madam Blavatsky`nin açıklamasına göre kitabın içindekiler kendisine a€˜Mahatma`lar tarafından bildirildi.
